Meet the team

CHELSEA

Port Sorell Run Club was founded by Chelsea, a proud local of Port Sorell for over 21 years. Her passion for running began at a young age when she would join her dad on early morning runs before school. It didn’t take long for Chelsea to fall in love with the endorphin rush and the sense of accomplishment that each run brought. Now, at 30-years-old, she still treasures running alongside her 60-year-old dad, continuing a tradition they’ve shared for years.

As a paramedic on the NW coast. Chelsea witnesses the daily struggles of mental health and believes in the importance of community and healthy living. She is passionate about the positive impact that both physical activity and a strong support network can have on mental well-being, alongside professional care.

Through the run club. Chelsea aims to create a welcoming and supportive space for the Port Sorell community, where people can experience the physical and mental benefits of running while connecting with others in a positive environment.

Husband Matt

You'll probably spot Chelsea's husband, Matt, who makes an appearance at run club now and then. Matt has been calling Port Sorell home for over 8 years and owns a local metal fabricating business on Burges Way. While Matt was once dragged along to runs by Chelsea, he's surprisingly grown to enjoy it - though he'll tell you he's really just there for the post-run chat and oranges. If you see him at run club, swing by and say hi!

Brady

Brady takes Tuesday night interval training. Brady has always been a North West Coaster, growing up in Ulverstone, living in Devonport for 12 years and now lives in Port Sorell with his wife Hannah and two boys.

Brady has a background in triathlon as an athlete, representing Australia in 2019, and as a coach, being the Tasmanian Junior Development Program head coach for 5 years. He has been a Health and Physical Education teacher for over 12 years, spending his days trying to pass along his love for all things health and being active.
